Re-riggning with new solid glass transom. Spring 2007.

Going from 454's and TRS's to 598"/750's and SSM#6's.

Stripped from the old drivelines. The TRS's are gone, and the 454's are out.

            Almost empty...

            Old transom gone.

            A few weeks later...

New transom made in solid fibreglass, with no wood at all. Rock solid!

The stringers are replaced/modified as well, to match the new drivelines.
And the old grid work has been removed, and replaced with 5/8" layers of divinycell.

Drilling the holes for the new transom assemblies.

            Here's one of the cutouts.

The transom assemblies in my Chevy...

Here's the first test. To make sure everything will fit, and to do the engine mounts.

I used an empty 454-block as a dummy to align the engine mounts.
There are much more room to drill the 64 holes if you don't use a complete engine.

            Measuring for the exhaust holes.

Then it was time to take everything apart again, to paint the transom and drill the exhaust holes.

Transom assemblies and K-planes are done!

Inside. With finished engine mounts, and the hydraulic steering almost done.

            Port motor in place.

            Both puppies are in..

The drives are on, and my buddy David is busy with some cleaning...

The rear end is finally completed!

Completed under the hatches as well.

A very big thanks to all my friends who supported me day and night, to get this rigging done in only 3 weeks!

It was a crazy amount of work, but definitely worth it!
